For waterthrush, the tail is the wrong size/shape, the bill is the wrong shape, the legs are way too long and the wrong color, the underparts are too heavily streaked. This bird cannot be a waterthrush, not even an aberrant one. For that matter, it is not any kind of warbler.
I'm not sure what you mean about uniformity for female and immature Red-winged Blackbirds. They are streaked and the streaking can be variable.
