Can you be more precise about the location please? In which cypress area was the Mangrove Cuckoo? It would be an extremely unusual bird for the Refuge or for that part of Palm Beach County in general.

: Loxahatchee doesn't list the Mangrove Cuckoo in it's pamphlet, but I definitely saw one up in the Cypress. It had the buff belly and dark above the eye. Also saw -Limpkin, Glossy Ibis, Red-shouldered Hawk, baby Black-necked Stilts, & a couple black snakes all out in the open area.
