Here in Florida we are doing individual list in a County and then combining them for an overall list for the county... Summer time is Hot and slow as far as birding goes, so the idea is to get out in June to see what may be going unnoticed.
I started working on a website to enter everyones list and combine them by county/team... As far as being a real contest, the winning county in Florida will have bragging rights for Florida, but in reality, to be fair, you can only compete against previous years for each county due to the varied habitat and species limitations.
I'm hoping to have the website finish before the end of the monthm but it will be ready for next year. We will see... I thought I was going to already have it done. :o
