From the intersection of 97th and 248th, turn left onto the dirt road on the south side of the canal that parallels 248th. Drive east and park along the fence before a bridge and locked gate. Turn right after you cross the bridge and walk south to reach the west pond. Walk east beyond the bridge to reach the east pond, which is now only visible by bushwhacking through the brush.
