The photo you found was helpful. The ones I'd found were either younger (with short bills) or older, making me think that the bill might take a little longer to grow out, or that it is just underdeveloped. Now that seems implausible.
I thought the beak seemed rather robust for a chicken, but that might be that some of the beak will be hidden when it's older.
I have looked at photos of young chickens, peafowl, and guineafowl, but haven't yet found anything else that fits particularly well. However, it is hard to find examples that are the right age.
