I have tried at least three times over the past couple of weeks for the Snail Kites out on Tamiami Trail, and I have missed them every time. It is an easy, quick shot from my house so I am thinking I will try again once the rains start and the water levels go up a little bit.
That said, I might not be trying for long enough as I only stick around for 30 minutes maximum as I usually find something good for Bird-A-Day along the way (pair of Purple Gallinules, for example).
