At 11:20 a.m. (while looking unsuccessfully for Anis) we observed a Bahama Mockingbird on the far Northwest "corner" of the park. We were standing next to the last of the Coconut Palms. We first observed the Mockingbird in a Mangrove bordering the second pool. Then it flushed up to the barbed wire fence bordering the airport. All field marks were easily visible: white tail tips, streaked breast, no white wing patches.
We are enjoying our week birding in Fla. And are grateful for everyone's friendliness and good tips.
Best, Larry and Carl
