Morning rains from a weak cold front produce a small but interesting fall out of migrants in Arch Creek Park today (Between 10-11:30am in North Miami area):
1. N. Catbird - 25 (many in hamelia & fruiting figs)
2. Summer Tanager - 1 (beautiful male)
3. Painted Buntings - 2
4. Ruby-throated Hummingbird - 2
5. Ovenbird - 2
6. Cape May Warbler - 6
7. Black-throated Blue - 5
8. Black & White Warbler - 4
9. C. Yellow-throat - 2 (singing male)
10. Parula Warbler - 8 (several singing)
11. Worm-eating Warbler - 2
12. Prairie Warbler - 5 (several singing)
13. American Redstart - 2 (male singing)
14. Tennessee Warbler - 3 (beautiful males)
15. Black-poll Warbler - 5 (4 males, 1 female)
The trail was a chorus of singing warblers - like a spring day up north.
