Quite curious about the painted buntings. My parents' feeder in their Perrine yard has been receiving painted buntings for the last ten years (as long as they've had the house). We have been noticing a slight decreasing over the years of the time they spend AWAY. This year the last bird, a beautifully painted male was our latest record ever, seen last on April 28. Our earliest arrival was October 6 2002.
