Over the past 20 years in Homestead, my parents yard receives annually the visit of a little flock of anywhere from 8 - 5 painted buntings. This year five, three male and two females arrived later than usual on October 19th.
By April 24th the flock had left. But yesterday and at about 2:40PM today, April 29th a single female visited the feeder.
Until this year, the latest any remained was April 26th. (The earliest arrival ever was October 4th in 2002).
