Hi John,
This is Santa Barbara Daniel responding to your bounty of birds. What a catch! It is sad to hear about the disappearance of the Ani.
I just followed up to MattV's (Santa Barbara)request on the bird board of visiting South Florida and hoping to catch the Spots and I wrote him of your location at Evergreen. Glad to hear they at least are still there.
I died of envy reading the posting about the Mangrove Cuckoo. I have been killing myself to find that bird and that guy had so many. I will have to come back to South Florida in the Spring to get them calling and hopefully get a photo.
