Paul Bithorn found what appears to be an American Golden Plover at Cutler Wetland this morning. He left me a message since I live near there. I located the bird quickly and shot a little video of the bird since it was pretty far away hoping to pick up more detail.

I watched the bird for a few minutes prior to a Coopers Hawk doing a flyby startling all the birds. I captured two frames with the wings up and watched it fly away through my binoculars.

It seemed as if the bird wanted to land again at Cutler Wetland but I didn't relocate it after it took flight. When if flew it went towards the southeast. It may be in the channel that runs north and south through the middle of Cutler Wetland.

I'm going to look for it again around 6:30 pm and will post my results.
