I birded Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary yesterday and saw many, mostly male, painted buntings near and on the bird feeders. Also good looks at 2 barred owls, a red shouldered hawk nest with 2 chicks (the volunteers had a scope set up), a limpkin with 4 chicks, a blue-headed virio, and several downy woodpeckers. Very few warblers- only palm and black and white.
