Yesterday, I noticed my Bunting Feeders were hardly used during the day, and no birds showed up to feed in the late afternoon. This morning, I only counted 2 female Indigo Buntings and a Male and female Painted Bunting, when I would usually have 20 to 30 buntings working at my feeders. Also, the singing Buntings from my bushes were quiet this morning, so I assume they decided to leave on the favorable southeast breezes yesterday or the night before for the north. Now, more Blue Jays along with some resident Cardinals and doves have moved in. I still keep my feeders full, hoping to snag a migrant or two for a short time to enjoy.
