With regard to the Bronzed Cowbirds at Eagle Lakes, the area to the right of the gazebo all the way to the corner and even as you make the turn at the corner is the best place. The birds fly around of course but often will alight in the Bald Cypress trees or the Coastal Plains Willows where they will hide. If you're patient enough, the birds will usually come out. I do note that they are easier to see now as opposed to earlier in the winter. The Bronzed Cowbirds are usually in the company of several Brown-headed Cowbirds and Red-winged Blackbirds. A scope is helpful to see their red eye when perched. Look up other field marks in your favorite field guide to familiarize yourself with them. Do post if you see them and whatever else you see at Eagle lakes Community Park. Thanks.
