It was a great trip, early in the morning on the way to Three Lakes we had an adult Bald Eagle perched, several flying Caracaras, Bluebirds on the wires, and scattered Turkey flocks.
At Three Lakes we ran into a St. Pete Audubon bus trip; they had missed Red-cockaded and Bachman's, but hopefully had more luck later on.
Kissimmee Lake SP was good, too, considering we were there late morning and early afternoon. The owl was great, although it fought off ID for awhile. We never did ID the snake, though. By the way, thanks, Toe, for guiding us to every square inch of the park.
At our final rest stop for dinner, the best line of the week:
"Do you want some salad?"
"Salad? Salad is what food eats!"
