Hi All,
The Land Stewardship Division of SFWMD is working with the [project manager] for this project to see if they can install a walk-through gate.
In response to my inquiry about a gate, I have been invited to serve as a representative from Tropical Audubon to speak to SFWMD about the project in general, placement of the gate if approved, and any other concerns [TAS] may have.
I want to get in touch with the contact person by Monday AM, so please let me know soon (on or off-list) what concerns you may have about the Lucky Hammock project other than access.
I am happy to serve as the rep for this joined TAS yesterday, in fact, in addition to Broward AS but I m also happy to defer to someone else more knowledgeable. So, if the TAS leadership would like another person to serve as a liaison, please let me know (again, fairly quickly) and I will communicate this to SFWMD. In this event I would pass on any suggestions that may come off-list.
