I have been to the Wellington wetlands twice, and agree that it is beautiful and a great way to see unusual waterfowl. Being able to walk (or wheel)along the cells is great and lets one sneak up on the wildlife (when it is quiet, see below). I indeed saw Canvasback and Pintails there that morning, along with a N. Harrier and dozens of Limpkin.

However, both mornings, the peace was totally disrupted by large numbers of men edging, blowing, cutting, and re-planting an area that REALLY does not need to be manicured! In the middle of a drought, cutting the (non) grass and re-planting trees and shrubs seems a real waste of funds we need to keep these parks open. End rant.
