I and others found the Ash-throated Flycatcher at Kendall Indian Hammocks Park this a.m. about 7:30. It called several times and uttered its song once. It was located at the western edge of the Potter's Field.
Investigating the neighborhood north of the Baptist Hospital on Kendall Drive, I found an adult plumaged male Orchard Oriole feeding with four Baltimore Orioles in trees located between 8791 and 8781 SW 85th Terrace. It flew across the street with the Baltimores and all alighted on a utility wire where further observation was obtained. Where, oh where, did this bird come from. Normally not seen until mid April in Dry Tortugas, or Sanibel Island for us birders in Naples.
