I went looking for the Dickcissels and sparrows at the C-357 this afternoon but only found a few Savannahs and one Grasshopper Sparrow that showed themselves long enough to ID. There many more birds but they were keeping themselves hidden from view.
Bonnie and Rock had the same idea... we looked for a couple of hours without much luck. Morning is the best time to see the birds at the C-357, but this was the first chance I had to bird the location. I hope to make it out there again in a few days, but in the morning.
We did see a Merlin, Kestrel and Tree Swallows all good for my Bird A Day list....
