The Bronzed Cowbirds were perched on a cypress about halfway between the gazebo and the east end of the impoundment. Common Grackles and Red-winged Blackbirds would perch on adjacent trees. They were too far out for me to see the red eye with just binoculars, so I went back to my car to get my scope. Of course when I got back, they had flown, but fortunately they returned after a few minutes.
