We have been granted access to the Raptor Compound at Okeeheelee, led by John Welch, the naturalist. There is a charge of $3 per person by the Board of County Commissioners. I believe there are 18 species of owls and hawks at the compound, either being rehabilitated or used for educational purposes. The visit takes place at 12:30 PM so I would like to be at Okeeheelee no later than noon so we can have lunch prior to visiting the compound. PLEASE email me if you plan to attend so I can let John know how many people to expect. Of course, we will visit Wakodahatchee and Green Cay first. Look forward to seeing you on Saturday the 29th.
