During the Everglades Birding Festival we visited Green Cay Wetlands, Okeeheelee Nature Center and Corkscrew Swamp and there were Painted Buntings in good numbers in all 3 sites-males and females. Painted Buntings are fickle birds and want a consistent feeder, maybe you need to hire a feeder sitter when you go away for the weekend.
