Alex Wang sent more ani photos to me and they confirm Greater Ani as species, probably a young bird. In this photo species characteristics can be seen: glossy blue-black sheen of plumage; long down-curved bill with 2-3 deep grooves on maxilla but none on the mandible; whitish iris; bill flange starting to form. The bird is eating a small snake in this photo. As previously discussed, origin is suspect.
