I believe I was misquoted. ;)

I failed to find an Eastern Screech-Owl this morning within the Long Pine Key circle, nor was I able to find any Spotted Sandpipers at Long Pine Key Lake, as I apparently promised. If it's any consolation, I did find a Wurdemann's Heron at the west bridge at Taylor Slough (see photo), plus five Blue Jays (inexplicably missed yesterday); four in the Royal Palm area and another along the Gate 9 Trail. I also saw several panther tracks along this trail.
