PB: Loxahatchee NWR weekly Wednesday birdwalk

It was the coldest day of the season but that didn't stop 6 brave birders from making the rounds today. Tree swallows were only in the hundreds today (as opposed to the thousands last week). Raptors included Northern Harrier (1), Red-shouldered Hawk (6+), American Kestrel (2), Snail Kite (2+). When the sun had been up for a while a kettle of Turkey and Black Vultures formed and they were soon joined by some Wood Storks.

But the highlight of the day was the bird we reported as a "possible first winter plumage Connecticut" two weeks ago. It was in the same location as last time. While we don't think that it is a Connecticut any longer, we're still not exactly sure what it is. I've included a photo here and a link to more photos on my SmugMug site (some are butt shots but are there to show all possible angles). Please let me know what your opinion is.
