I stayed a while longer than Brian and a little longer than Julie. We looked hard for the Masked Duck but could only come up with a Ruddy. After Julie left, I checked out the south side of the mound. I did find a different Ruddy Duck that looked more normal than the one on the north side of the mound. I have attached a photo of the Ruddy Duck on the north side of the mound, it has some orange colors on the neck and face. I used my phone through the scope for the pictures.
Earlier in the week I had a White-crowned Sparrow on the east side of the mound next to the road. It sure was cold as the winds picked up.
