OK this happened earlier this year when I went to see the Red-head at Dump Marsh....
I missed seeing the Horned Grebes this evening just minutes after Toe saw them at the Canoe Launch on Old Cutler, and now I hear Bill saw the birds shortly after I left....
I'm having a great year missing birds... I went with Larry up to see the Red-legged Thrush, we looked for hours and hours without any luck.... Missed the Thick-billed Vireo the other week....
Never saw or photographed the La Sagra's that everybody and their brother saw and photographed...
I can't wait till 2010 is over...
