The Western Spindalis was heard and seen today on Windley Key from 10:30 to about 12:30. During that time the bird sang and called but was very hard to see. We only had brief looks before it would retire in the brush without calling or moving. It was heard and seen near marker 83 for the whole time that I was there.
The park is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; it is closed on Tuesday and Wednesday.
