The good ole days indeed..!
Yet I'm thinking those days are NOW!!
What more could one ask from in a day? Great birding, great friends, and a world-class lecture on birds.
The inspiring and very informative presentation by John Fitzpatrick has left me thinking about how much more we - the naturalists in our region - can do to educate our community about birds and their habitats, to encourage more people to become involved in conservation and citizen science.
I'd already been carrying the inspired fire since last week, when I heard yet another key-note speaker - Pete Dunne - during the Keys Birding and Wildlife Festival, expand on some of the same issues.
The good ole days are now - and there is so much inspired work we can do for birds in our region. Let's remember - it isn't only about what WE get out of this - it is about much more!!
