The roost is what I call this roost for parrots/parakeets in the vicinity where Steve Siegel lives. I will not give his address, but the roost has a great amount of Chestnut-fronted Macaws. To reach it from I-95, exit off 79th street and proceed east a couple miles and cross the drawbridge. You can either turn right and park in the Pelican Harbor Park (it has a couple old submarine fins around the field in the park).
from here, watch for the aratinga and macaws heading toward the roost from around 5:00- 6:00 p.m. After this, you can walk or drive out of the park heading east and come across the roost itself. The roost is in a well-planted community with guard gates called North Bay Village. It will be the first community you see after Pelican Island Park, and if you pass the second small bridge after passing Pelican Island, you have gone too far. The birds will be loud and active, so finding them will not be hard. If you decided to drive your car from Pelican Island, park in a parking lot across the two-way street, and cross the street and bird from the sidewalk along the wall of the community.
