On Sunday, I saw a bird that looked a lot like a pale female summer tanager. It had a short gray tail, and very light yellow. Not long afterward it was joined closely by a yellow bird with a blackish long tail and wings. I then knew they were a very young and a somewhat older spot-breasted oriole. I actually should not have been thrown off since both were in a coconut palm frond (not very summer tanager-like)! The day before, and today, there were the two adults. So the neighborhood has at least 4. Last year at the very same time there was the same number and age set-up too. Also, for about a month this summer, I couldn't find a single one around the area, after the pair had visited the yard non-stop for about 9 months. Lastly a nice male cardinal has been sticking around. Big deal, but actually in my area I hardly see them. It is SW 11th Terrace and 23rd Avenue in Miami.
