Yes, I definitely have noticed some patterns with the orioles in the last two years at my house. The adults are almost always paired. They all disappeared for about a month last year at about the same time last summer too. There is a plant called 'Brazilian red cloak' that they like, it has lots of flowers on it except in the summer (now it is blooming again). Ive also noticed two years in a row, the older of the two immatures hanging around with the adults (I read before that immature males do this) before they wandered off in mid summer. And lastly, the immatures hanging out together, I've seen here and elsewhere. For native plants, they have been foraging in a young wild tamarind the last few days. maybe they are still feeding young at this late date.
