Think of the implications. Maybe man didn't wipe out those beautiful tree snails....the black-crowned did it. Lynch 'em. But first take a picture, they are pretty birds.

But you know what? In my animalizing experience (thanks to that great writer Alan Devoe) I have come to accept that animals do weird things, at weird times, with perfectly normal people watching them. That's what makes walking in the woods so much fun. Take for example that my experience is that black-cronwed night herons are very unkept birds...they just don't groom as the other herons and egrets and ibis do. Curious thing.
