I have started a fall migration transect in Matheson Hammock as part of a statewide migration monitoring project, and this morning had a good survey! 11 species of warblers, with the highlight being a young female Cerulean! She was with a big flock of assorted warblers and gnatcatchers that were along the dirt road W of Old Cutler, in the shrubby open area with lots of treefalls near the end of the road. Other migrants seen:
chimney swift-1
great crested flycatcher-1
eastern kingbird-4
yellow-throated vireo-1
red-eyed vireo-2
barn swallow-23
blue-gray gnatcatcher-19

yellow-throated warbler-2
