How did you read the bands to contact the researcher? You must have some super optics! BTW, it's Sleeping Bear Dunes NL (I used to live near there).

: Jennifer Stucker from the Great Lakes PIPL Research and Recovery responded to my report of 2 banded plovers on Crandon Beach. One is a male that wintered on Crandon last year. He nests in Sleeping Dunes National Lakeshore on Lake Michigan. He was banded as a chick in 2000 on Lake Superior. Incredible how he found the same small stretch of beach this year!

: The other bird is also a Great Lakes bird.
