Yesterday, Key Biscayne was just a little bit to the left of weird. 2 American Coots showed up on Crandon Beach and stayed an hour. They seemed healthy, albeit slightly confused. Offshore, a flock of 16 Cattle Egrets were mixed in with southward bound Northern Gannets and Red-breasted Mergansers.

At Bill Baggs Cape Florida SP, a clueless American Kestrel perched directly under a Peregrine at the microwave tower. The falcon was staring intently at the kestrel when I left. And, at 1 PM, Ranger Beth Eich (bare-handed) captured a 7 1/2 ft Boa Constrictor.
