I am a herp fan almost as much as I love birds. Because it is after dark, I do not think the majority of the snakes would be racer species- Everglades nor Black. Mud Snakes- they are pretty uncommon, so I do not think you will find those. Since it is after dark the snakes may be Brown, Florida (Banded), and or Florida Green Watersnakes, especially since they are very common and it is around water. I would not be surprised to find a crayfish snake, ratsnake species, Penninsula Ribbonsnakes, and especially South Florida Black Swamp Snakes on rainy days.
Smaller species like Brown and Ringneck snakes may also be present, but not likely in that marsh area.
