There are active nests in holes in dead pine trees in Larry & Penny Thompson Park on the north side of Robert Morgan School along Eureka Drive (SW 184 Street) and SW 122 Avenue in Miami.
There are also active nests at a private residence at about Mile Marker 103.5 on Key Largo. The birds feed regularly at feeders behind the Caribbean Club at MM 104, next door to Florida Bay Outfitters.
