I saw a pair of the parakeets in Islamorada at the Lorelei before the cold front ~about 8 months ago and heard more in the area. I was there again during the cold front but no birds then. (BTW, Lorelei has a good fish sandwich at the outside tiki bar --enjoy one and have a listen for the birds!)
