I do not mean common mynha, and I do not venture further north than Palm Ave, Florida City the turnoff to Everglades (except when going to MIA). Perhaps the birds I've seen were dispersals from Matheson.

The parakeets are definitely absent now from my part of Key Largo. As to whether they are countable, work done by my group in Hawai'i shows that some introductions there still fail after several generations of breeding. And for long-lived birds such a parrots, presence over many years is not proof of breeding.

Clearly, knowing if and when species become established is important.
