I was fortunate to meet up with some good birding friends this morning looking for the grosbeak. Luckily, everyone got good looks at the bird. Afterwards, I went to the Bulbul area and after about 10 minutes I saw one Red Whiskered Bulbul perched on a wire out in the open. While looking for the Bulbul, I encountered 2 perched Mitred Parakeets. Those things are much larger then I thought. Seeing that my luck was going good, I thought I would make another attempt at the LaSagra's in Cape Florida. I encountered 3 other birders at the white gate who had been there since early morning. No luck for any of us. So by 3:00 pm, I decided to call it a successful birding day and make my way back to Palm Beach. I haven't decided what my celebratory libation will be, but Casa Noble Anejo tequilla sounds good. This is a sipping tequilla with undertones of peppermint.
