Toe and I only had a few seconds of observing the Bar-tailed Godwit ourselves. I'm trying to be a better birder so I was taking in the Bar-tailed through my binoculars instead of taking a picture first. Who would have thought the birds would fly off not to return, but that's what they did.
We also had problems getting the Thick-billed Vireo to show itself for the camera for documentation, but it had an excuse the rain had just begun when we heard and saw the bird. Even though our looks weren't great I'm confident it was a Thick-billed Vireo. Hopefully it will show itself to someone in the next day or two. It was singing over and over again. Then it began to scold after a White-eyed Vireo showed in the same Button Wood. When I arrived home I checked the song of the Thick-billed online....

Anyway I didn't get the photos I wanted but did get some of the birds mentioned by Rock...
