Wednesday, Mar 24, at Midway campground on US41, site 14 - heard an usual song. First saw the bird and from the side thought it was an empid with olive sides, back and head with bright wingbars. When I saw it from the front it had yellow above the bill and a dark eye. Only possiblity is thick-billed vireo, but this would be a first for me. Later I heard the song - 3 clear notes with no 'chip' - but could not relocate the bird. Just got internet service so this is the first opportunity to post.
