Birch State Park had similar conditions and results.0900-1530hrs.waited out the sporadic showers and outright rain several times but saw many birds.

Red eyed vireo

Merlin coming in off the ocean.I picked it up as a speck at water level ~500yds out, hit the beach and flew at ground level up one of the diagonal paths between the sea oats then rose up to 8 ft. to cross A1A to avoid the traffic.
several groups of Cattle Egrets Little Blues and GBHs coming in off the ocean

humorous scene * Turkey Vultures hanging out under one of the picnic table pavillions on the intra-coastal waiting out the rain and seeing if there were any scraps on the grills. Then when the sun came out they just spread their wings and sat and sunbathed.Just like an easter bbq only less people.
Good day Good Birding!!
