The reason I thought the plecostomus theory might be correct is becaause of the long barb, which I saw in this iPhone photo of a dead one at Okeechobee 100 miles south. Too bad the eagle photo is not more clear, and I don't know how much the eagle ate before bringing the item to his nest.
