I got to anhinga a little after 10 this morning and ran into Judd who told me that the Ani was still in the area .I soon found it and spent about two hours watching it catch bugs and several times wander next to peoples feet as it crossed back and forth on the path. This bird is remarkably obliging.
I met some really nice birders as well from Holland and Baltimore and told them about the snail kite spot and we met back there at sunset.Had 4 kites fly in and a male perched in the top of the tree and ate a snail for us.
Perhaps the best news is that the Dutch birders had 2 swallowtail kites fly across the road in front of them down by Flamingo this afternoon.Yaay!
