There are actually two separate issues here: Whether it's countable for the listing game (ABA rules), and whether it affects our view of the seasonal distribution.
Although I think it is clearly countable for the listing game, it's a completely different story concerning status and distribution. In this case, its presence during the winter shouldn't be considered a proper winter record, but merely a curiosity. Bill's introduction of a special code for the CBC is a good way to handle this.
