Ringnecked duck numbers are about 25 at the Davie Target Water retention basin. They are becoming quite used to human activity and the loading trucks make more than enough noice to frighten the faint of heart. But the ducks, though vigilent take no fright.
This picture, not unusual for the morning shoot was 20 meters.
It shows the "ring-around-the-collar" nicely. But I still think "ring-bill" is a more apt name
