I wasn't able to make the STA-5 tour yesterday and a tentative Great Cormorant was photographed there. This would be an incredible inland record for Florida if verified and another major rarity for the STA-5 checklist. Could someone more knowledgeable than myself about GRCO look at these photos taken by Cole Fredricks and offer an opinion with corroborating evidence as to why it is a GRCO or not? I tend to think the bird is a first-year DCCO but I could be easily be persuaded that it isn't! Go here for the photos:
